It’s been a few weeks since Viola Davis and Julius Tennon welcomed baby Genesis into their home. Although not biologically related, Genesis became a member of the Tennon family through adoption. When questioned about parenthood at the 2011 Governor’s Awards in Los Angeles, Viola told Access Hollywood a few things.
About baby Genesis.
“She’s awesome. I mean, I know every parent says their child is awesome, but she’s awesome. She’s so pretty and she [says], ‘Mama, I’m your baby!’ That’s how she says it.”
On being married with a child.
“We [Tennon and Davis] have a lot of date nights. Even being with the baby’s a date night. That’s right. Baby goes to sleep at eight o’clock — it’s date night at home.”
Competing to be the ultimate fashionista.
“Oh my God, I do not look for style. I let someone else do that! That would be a sensory overload.”
