Singer Erykah Badu mother of three once said: “I do holistic healing and health… I grow my own herbs, dry them and bottle them. I’m learning from trial and error as I go along. With my first child I made some mistakes with the holistic stuff. Puma my daughter she’s my second child, they’re both vegan vegetarians, organic babies from birth, natural births at home. Actor Forest Whitaker father of four says: “Life is full of choices, and many years ago, I chose to become a vegetarian, and it was one of the best choices I’ve ever made,” says Forest.
Singer Deborah Cox is “totally organic. Only because my son has a lot of food allergies – gluten, nuts, wheat, dairy and fish. His diet consists of rice-based and corn-based stuff, and soy. It’s really tough travelling, because we can’t eat out. His food has to be specially prepared.”
Former Boxer Laila Ali likes to buy Eco-friendly products for her son: “I am trying to stick to products that are earth friendly and free of chemicals that can be harmful to children… It is not always easy so I am taking it slow.”
Model Liya Kebede mom of two has an all-natural cotton clothing line: “The clothes are made by hand in Africa using traditional weaving methods by local artisans — therefore eliminating the use of machines and reducing the waste of energy,” she explains.
