Omar and Keisha Epps are officially college parents!
The couple recently helped their 18-year-old son, Amir Epps, settle into his new home over the weekend.
Keisha shared photos from the emotional send-off on Instagram, writing, “First day of college. Let the adventure begin.”
In the photos, Amir poses with both of his parents and his sister K’mari as the family marks the beginning of his college journey.
While Keisha is excited about what lies ahead for her son, she admitted that she will miss their everyday moments together most.
“I’ll miss the everyday things most—the tickling when you KNOW I’m crazy ticklish & can’t stand it! Your jump scares I’m making me react like a mad person, pestering me until I’m screaming and then somehow making me laugh through your relentless annoyance,” she continued. “Your love hugs? Thee best! I’ll miss the most.”
The proud mom also offered Amir some advice as he goes out on his own.
“Go make your dreams happen! Prioritize, work hard, have fun & stay on your reset. Make mistakes you can come back from & then learn from them. Find YOUR people & be present in every moment,” Keisha wrote. “God 1st and the impossible becomes POSSIBLE!”
BCK has watched Amir grow up over the years, with Omar and Keisha regularly sharing his milestones alongside those of his sisters, K’mari and Aiyanna.
Now, his family is watching him take one of his biggest steps yet.
“This is your time to SOAR, Bub. You’ve done some pretty brilliantly creative things thus far… next level now. Let’s get it!” Keisha said.
“Watching you step into this next chapter is the realization of so many hopes & prayers Dad & I have carried for you. And we don’t take these blessings lightly,” she added.
Keisha closed her message by celebrating the bond she shares with Amir, saying, “Son, I am eternally grateful for the mother & son bond we have. We love you dearly! You did it! We did it!”
