According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Haqq, 43, recently filed a request for child support and $100,000 to help cover her attorney’s fees. The former couple shares three children: Christian Louis, Celine Amelia and Kapri Naomi.

In her filing, the mom of three says she has been primarily responsible for caring for their children throughout the marriage and since the couple separated in July 2023.

“I dedicated nearly our entire marriage to be a full-time stay-at-home mother to our children,” she states in the documents.

Haqq says she stopped working before the birth of their oldest child and currently handles the children’s day-to-day schedules, including school and camp drop-offs and pick-ups, appointments, tutoring and extracurricular activities.

She also claims McCray does not have a consistent schedule with the children and rarely asks to spend time with them.

“With little to no help from [him], I’m unable to dedicate significant additional time toward work, but continue to seek out and make myself available for opportunities, which are manageable given my responsibilities and resulting time constraints as a full-time parent,” Haqq says.

The actress and reality star is now working to rebuild her career after spending much of her marriage focused on motherhood. According to the filing, she earned just over $70,000 in 2025 and approximately $86,000 so far this year.

Among her recent projects, Khadijah says she earned $150,000 from a reality series filmed in April. Despite taking on more work, she maintains that her income is not enough to cover her and the children’s expenses.

“I’m taking on as many jobs as I’m able to while simultaneously managing my responsibilities as a sole provider and caregiver,” she says. “I am unable to meet my and our children’s monthly expenses with what I earn each month.”

Her monthly living expenses total nearly $13,900, according to the documents. The reality star says she has been forced to rely on credit cards and borrow money from family and friends to make ends meet.

Her twin sister, Malika Haqq, gave her approximately $8,000 in 2025 to help with living expenses, according to the filing.

Khadijah says the family’s financial circumstances were much different during her marriage to McCray. His NFL payments provided the majority of their household income, she claims, allowing the family to live with little debt while providing private schooling, extracurricular activities and vacations for their children.

“We were always able to buy the children their desired gifts for birthdays, holidays, or otherwise without much concern for cost,” she says in the documents.

The mom of three argues that McCray has the financial means to contribute to their children’s expenses. According to the filing, the retired football player continues to receive multiple sources of NFL-related income and has substantial retirement assets.

Beyond finances, Khadijah also raised concerns about communication between the estranged spouses. She claims McCray recently blocked communication with her even though he continued receiving text messages from their daughter and a mutual friend.

She argues that being able to communicate is especially important because they share children and she needs to be able to reach McCray in case of an emergency.

McCray filed for divorce in August 2024, more than a year after the couple separated. He and Haqq married in 2010 after dating for several years.

Khadijah publicly announced their separation in August 2023, saying at the time that they had decided it was better to move forward separately while continuing to co-parent their family.
