Mario is a new dad!
The R&B singer and his girlfriend have welcomed their first child together, a baby boy. Mario announced the news on his Instagram Stories, sharing a photo taken inside the hospital.
In the image, the singer appeared in blue scrubs as he marked the arrival of his son.
“Women are God’s greatest creation cuz what I witness today was ONLY GODS work! Healthy baby boy!” Mario wrote over the post.
He did not share any additional details about the birth.
Mario and his partner first revealed they were expecting in August 2025, sharing a series of maternity photos on social media. One image showed Mario standing behind his girlfriend with his hands placed on her baby bump, while another captured him leaning down to kiss her stomach.
In the caption, the mom-to-be kept the announcement playful, writing, “Whooopps I ate too much brownies.”
The pregnancy news sparked heavy discussion online. While many fans congratulated the couple, others revived criticism tied to the race of Mario’s girlfriend.
One user on X commented on the reaction, writing, “What an interesting thing to see Black women crashing out on the internet over Mario’s girlfriend and her baby bump. He doesn’t even know you, sistas!”
Mario previously addressed backlash over his personal life during a December 2024 appearance on Way Up With Angela Yee, where he spoke about his partner and defended their relationship.
“I love her, yeah of course, but it’s a safe place,” he said. “She’s a good person. I trust her. If I trust you and you’re a good person and I know you’re not trying to be all in the blogs and stuff like that…”
During the interview, Mario also shut down speculation about his girlfriend’s background, clarifying that she is Mexican.
