Jeannie Mai pulled out all the stops for her daughter Monaco’s fourth birthday.
The television personality, who shares Monaco with rapper Jeezy, recently threw a candy-themed party for her little girl.
Taking to Instagram this week, Mai shared a video in which Monaco could be heard happily describing the celebration.
“Welcome to CocoLand. Guys, my mommy gimme me the best party ever!! There was gummy bears and lollipops because I really love candy,” Monaco said.
She also shared her favorite part of the party, saying, “My aunties, my uncles and all my family friends,” adding, “It makes me so happy to see everybody.”
At another moment, the four-year-old summed up the experience by saying, “Yeah, I feel so loved,” before joking, “Wait — what happened to me!?” as she noticed herself asleep in her mom’s arms.
Jeannie further explained in the caption, “Threw my lil Capricorn a candyland themed day full of sticky fun and hella love. Thank you to friends & fam who came to celebrate our girl and made her world feel extra magical. Special love to @little_artist_party for the best arts & crafts and @popsociallife for capturing every sweet moment.”
“Our hearts are full… she’s 4 yall🥹 Happy 4th @monacomaijenkins !!” she added.
The birthday celebration comes after Mai opened up about a personal parenting moment involving her daughter earlier this year.
In a YouTube video, she said that while Monaco has known her as “Mommy” for nearly four years, she had never introduced herself beyond that role.
“I’ve known Monaco for almost 4 years and I’ve never introduced myself to her,” Mai said. “Obviously, she knows me as mommy, but she doesn’t know me. She doesn’t know Genie.”
Later, she told her daughter, “I’ve never introduced myself to you. So I want to take a moment to introduce the girl that I was before you and the woman that I’m becoming because of you.”
She then added, “Hi, I’m Genie.”
