Skai Jackson celebrated a special milestone this week as her son, Kasai, turned one.
On January 21, the actress shared a birthday tribute on Instagram featuring photos of Kasai from throughout the year.
Alongside the post, she wrote, “Happy 1st birthday to my sweet baby Kasai.”
Jackson later shared additional posts in her Instagram Stories showing Kasai during a private birthday dinner in Mexico.
Jackson also tagged and thanked Villa Casa Familia in Punta Mita, Mexico, where she spent the getaway with her son, her mother, Kiya Cole, and a small group of friends.
The beachfront villa , located in the exclusive Ranchos Estates, features an infinity pool, full staff (chef, butler, maids), a private spa with a hot tub and steam area, a gym, and a basketball/pickleball court. The villa also offers direct access to a white sand beach; Kasai was photographed enjoying time along the shoreline during the stay.
Jackson welcomed Kasai in January 2025 with her ex-boyfriend, Deondre Burgin.
During a previous interview with E! News, Jackson shared that the everyday moments with her son have meant the most to her. “There’s so many favorite moments,” she said. “I feel like just seeing my baby every day.”
She also spoke about watching Kasai grow. “It’s just an amazing moment seeing them grow day by day,” she said.
Jackson added that balancing motherhood and work has been a learning experience that has changed how she sees herself.
“I’ve learned just how strong I am in this process of being a young mom,” she said, while also crediting her support system for helping her manage both roles.
“Being a mom and getting back to work, that’s another favorite thing of mine,” she continued. “I have a lot of support and help, it’s been so amazing, so I’m able to balance both of it.”
