Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance’s daughter is stepping into the spotlight at one of the most glamorous society events in the world. Bronwyn Golden Vance, 19, will be among this year’s prestigious Le Bal des Débutantes attendees, joining a long list of celebrity and aristocratic families who’ve made their mark at the iconic Parisian celebration.
The historic event, first established in 1958 and revived in 1992 by Ophélie Renouard, has often been described as “the Met Gala for Teenagers,” pairing couture fashion with old-world elegance. This year’s ball will take place Saturday, Nov. 29, at the Hotel Shangri-La, where the 2025 class is expected to deliver all the glamour of years past.
Le Bal confirmed Bronwyn’s participation on Instagram, posting photos of her collaborating with haute couture designer Stephane Rolland. One image shows Bassett smiling beside her daughter and Rolland; another features a sweet selfie captured by Vance, including Bronwyn and her twin brother, Slater Josiah.

Bronwyn will be in celebrated company this year.
According to Tatler and Hello!, additional anticipated guests include Lady Araminta Spencer-Churchill, a descendant of Winston Churchill; Carolina Lansing, granddaughter of fashion legend Carolina Herrera; Ella Wadia, great-great-granddaughter of Pakistani founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah; and Ruby Kemper, granddaughter of late MGM Studios owner Kirk Kerkorian.

Le Bal 2024 was a similarly star-studded event.
Ophélie Renouard welcomed celebrity kids like Nicole Ari Parker’s daughter Sophie, Sophia Loren’s granddaughter Lucia Sofia Ponti and Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s daughter Apple Martin.
With its mix of couture, culture, and celebrity lineage, this year’s Le Bal is set to continue the tradition of unforgettable debuts and Bronwyn Golden Vance will be one to watch.
In addition to Bronwyn, Angela Bassett shares a twin son, Slater Josiah with husband, actor Courtney Vance.
