Bria Murphy and her husband, Michael Xavier, celebrated the upcoming arrival of their son, John, with a baby shower on Saturday.
Bria’s mom, Nicole Mitchell-Murphy, shared a video montage from the family gathering, which was held at Eddie Murphy’s mansion.
Alongside the clip, she wrote a sweet message for her unborn grandson. “Celebrating Bria and the beautiful blessing she’s bringing into the world. Baby John, we cannot wait to meet you. #Babyshower #love #babyboy #celebration #family #friends.”
Bria first revealed her baby bump earlier this month while supporting her father, Eddie Murphy, at the premiere of his new documentary, Being Eddie.
The film highlights Murphy’s dedication to his family and notes that his ten children are the center of his life.
He shares Eric with Paulette McNeely; Christian with Tamara Hood; Bria, Shayne, Zola, Bella and Myles with Nicole Mitchell; and Angel with Melanie Brown. He also shares Izzy and Max with his partner Paige Butcher.
He is also a grandfather to Myles and Carly Fink’s daughters, Evie and Zuri.

In a recent interview with murphy, he reflected on having a large family, saying, “It just happened,” he said. “I never knew I would have 10 kids, but now it’s the best thing ever. If you can afford that many kids, you should have as many kids as you can afford. That is fun.” He added, “My children are all decent people. I don’t have one rotten one, and I would like to think that they got some of that from me.”
Bria and Michael’s baby news arrives three years after the couple exchanged vows during an intimate ceremony in Beverly Hills.
