JAMIE FOXX CELEBRATES HIS “BEAUTIFUL SUNSHINE” ANELISE ON HER 17TH BIRTHDAY

Jamie Foxx is one proud girl dad as he celebrates his “beautiful sunshine” Anelise on her 17th birthday.

The Oscar winner took to Instagram to shower his younger daughter, Anelise Bishop, with love as she turned 17. The series of posts showed everything from baby photos to guitar sessions, all wrapped in one father’s pride.

“What can I say,” the 57-year-old wrote alongside a carousel of memories, including a smiling selfie with his daughter. “Wow, 17 years have flown by. You are amazing. You are beautiful. I love you to the moon and back. @anelisefoxx please please please have a happy happy happy 17th birthday!!! You are loved.”

In another post, the Soul actor shared an old snapshot of toddler Anelise perched on the beach in an oversized sunhat, flipping through a magazine. “Time has flown! I LOVE UUUU,” he captioned.

A later image captured her in a chic white suit jacket and wide-brimmed hat, strumming a guitar from the back of a convertible, a fitting nod to the musical talent she inherited from her famous dad.

Jamie’s eldest daughter, Corinne, 31, joined the celebration in the comments, writing, “Happy birthday @anelisefoxx. Love you so much!!! Can’t wait to see how you take over the world.”

Jamie Foxx became a father for the first time in 1994 when Corinne was born, later welcoming Anelise with ex-girlfriend Kristin Grannis in 2009. While Corinne has made her mark as an actress and model, Anelise has leaned into music, a passion her dad proudly encourages.

During a 2020 Entertainment Tonight interview, the actor and musician gushed, “My 11-year-old now knows how to play the piano so well, she actually plays my songs while I sing to them… She said, ‘I am going on tour with you.’ I am blessed, we are all blessed.”

That father/daughter bond through music became even more powerful following the Ray actor’s health scare in 2023. In his Netflix special Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was…, he shared that Anelise’s guitar playing helped him heal after suffering a brain bleed that led to a stroke.

“They said when she was playing, my vitals went down. The nurses at the nurses station were baffled. Like, ‘Wow what did they give him?’ They rushed into the room and she said, ‘Ssh. I got him.’ … Do you know what I found out? That God was in that guitar. That’s my spiritual defibrillator,” he said.
