CARDI B CLAPS BACK AT NICK CANNON COMPARISONS: “ALL MY KIDS LIVE WITH ME”

Cardi B is shutting down comparisons to  Nick Cannon. On Monday, Sept. 22, the rapper joined an X Spaces conversation where the topic of Cannon came up and she made it clear that their family dynamics are nothing alike.

“I don’t get in Nick Cannon’s business, but let me tell you something, all my kids live in the same house, and they are raised by a person, and that’s me,” she said, drawing a bright line between her situation and Cannon’s.

Cannon, who is father to 12 children, previously opened up about the challenges of raising a large family during a 2022 appearance on The Checkup with Dr. David Agus.

“Being a father of multiple kids, it’s always the biggest guilt on me is that I don’t get to spend enough time with all my children,” The 44-year-old father said, adding, “One ‘cause I’m constantly working and two because I’m just spread thin.”

Cardi seemed to acknowledge the complexity of his situation, but she was firm about this not being her story.

“You can’t compare me to Nick Cannon,” Cardi continued. “I don’t got 12 different baby daddies. I got three kids with one baby dad. And I’m gonna have a new baby with another man.”

Cardi’s family news has been front-and-center in the headlines as she recently confirmed that she’s expecting a fourth child with boyfriend Stefon Diggs.

She already has three children with her estranged husband Offset, and she’s made it clear she guards her role as mother fiercely.

Beyond the jokes, Cardi made a serious point about her parenting priorities. Responding to commentary about starting a new relationship before finalizing her divorce from Offset, she stressed that critics can take aim at her career but not her parenting.

“Some people might have opinions on my work, right?” she said, adding, “But one thing nobody can fuck with me or tell me is about my motherhood. That title? I’ll beat bitches up for that title. One thing I know I am is a great mother.”
