Tina Turner’s legacy continues to inspire generations of musicians and entertainers around the world through her music, documentaries, and more.
Now, that legacy is being honored in a new way through the children’s book Just Like Tina: Inspired by the Life of Tina Turner,.

Written by Ebony Lynn Mudd and illustrated by Maruga Koops, the story pays tribute to the legendary singer while encouraging children to celebrate their individuality.
The book, which will be published by Penguin Workshop on January 27, 2026, is already available for preorder.
Adding a personal touch, Turner’s husband, Erwin Bach, has written the foreword, sharing his reflections on keeping her memory alive.
The story follows Shay, a young girl who proudly calls herself Tina Turner’s biggest fan. Growing up surrounded by Tina’s music and performances, Shay’s admiration has only deepened over the years.
When the annual Tina Turner Day celebration arrives, she finally gets her moment to shine on stage. But as doubts surface, Shay comes to realize that being “just like Tina” is about resilience, confidence, and kindness, not just performance.
According to Penguin Workshop, “This story honors Tina Turner and strives to keep her memory alive for many generations of readers to come while reminding readers that being themselves is simply the best.”
