Woody McClain is officially a girl dad—times two!
The Power Book II: Ghost actor and his girlfriend Charli B. have welcomed their twin daughters, Emily and Amaya. The couple shared the news with fans last week.
“The baby girls are here safe. Mommy safe, baby safe. Both extremely beautiful and healthy girls,” McClain shared on Instagram Stories.
Charli also celebrated the moment on Instagram, writing, “OMG . I AM A MOTHER OF TWO BEAUTIFUL BABYGIRLS EMILY & AMAYA. CANT WAIT TO TEACH MY GIRLS HOW TO SWIM.”
Before welcoming Emily and Amaya, Woody and Charli celebrated with a baby shower in Atlanta on Saturday, June 28.
Surrounded by close family and friends, the event was full of fun moments and plenty of laughter.
“Our baby shower was genuinely filled with love from our family and closest friends !!! I will forever be grateful and cherish these moments,” Charli shared in a post alongside a series of photos from the event.
Woody McClain first announced the pregnancy in a humorous Instagram post on April 1.
“I’m such a jokester [and a] troller, and [I] love to keep people on their toes, so if you know me then posting the big news on April Fools day was on brand for me,” he told People earlier this month.
Becoming a dad has been a life-changing experience for McClain, who says it’s deepened his appreciation for women.
“The closer we get, the more I appreciate the incredible strength of women. [The ability] to carry children deserves greater recognition and admiration,” he said. “Fatherhood feels like I’m preparing for a lifetime role. The amount of research and love being poured into me is overwhelming in the best way, reminding me that growth isn’t just for them, it’s for me too.”
So what is McClain most excited about now that Emily and Amaya are here?
“I am most excited to be the first person to take my girls on a shopping spree,” he shared.
