Tristan Thompson is once again facing backlash over his parenting choices. The NBA star, 33, recently shared a Snapchat video where he referred to having “two daughters”—a statement that left many fans scratching their heads.
“I have two daughters. Their names are… Dream is my oldest daughter and True is the second oldest,” Tristan said in the clip. “Those are my two girls, and I miss you guys sooo much. I love you guys.”
The issue? Tristan has four children—three sons and one daughter—yet he failed to mention his son Theo, whom he shares with fitness model Maralee Nichols.
Fans were quick to call out the Cleveland Cavaliers player for the omission. “Tristan Thompson out here claiming everybody but his other son ,” one x user wrote.
Another added, “How does Theo just not exist to him? This is so sad.”
Back in December 2021, Nichols gave birth to Theo following an affair while Tristan was still in a relationship with Khloé Kardashian. A month later, he confirmed paternity in a public statement, saying: “Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established, I look forward to amicably raising our son.”
He also addressed Khloé in the statement, saying, “Khloe, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I’ve treated you over the years.”
Despite his words, fans have continued to question his level of involvement in Theo’s life. While Tristan frequently posts about his other children—Prince (with ex Jordan Craig), True (with Khloé Kardashian), and his youngest son Tatum (also with Khloé)—Theo remains noticeably absent from his social media and public discussions about his kids.
This isn’t the first time Tristan has been called out for what many perceive as selective parenting, and based on the latest uproar, it likely won’t be the last.
