It’s officially Libra season and happy birthday wishes are in order for Nicki Minaj’s son, nicknamed “Papa Bear”.
The “Barbie World” singer recently shared a rare glimpse into her son’s life in celebration of his fourth birthday.
Taking to Instagram, the 41-year-old posted a carousel mixture of video and images of her son on Instagram, wishing him a happy birthday. The singer captioned, “Happy 4th birthday, buddy. You’ve made mama & daddy so happy. Since you were in mama’s tummy, you gave me a whole new meaning to life. Hope.”
Minaj lovingly concluded her post with a special prayer just for “Papa Bear”.
“May God watch over you always & guide your path. No weapon formed against you will prosper. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.”
Minaj shares “Papa Bear” with childhood sweetheart and husband, Kenneth “Zoo” Petty. The couple’s adorable four-year-old was born on September 30, 2020 and is their only child.
In a previous interview the “Pink Friday Girls” singer said that since she became a mother, she is a “more of a forgiving person” and “see[s] more good in people [and] the universe.”
“I think motherhood has made me see more good in people, more good in the universe,” she said during an interview in February 2022 on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
Minaj continued, “When I look at my son, I’m reminded that I am so blessed. I realized, for so many women, this is their dream. Their dream is to have a child and not everybody gets that blessing. So when you have a little baby, you are reminded every day like, ‘Oh my God. Thank you God for this little gift.'”
Minaj, whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, has maintained strict privacy around her son and this includes sharing his real name. In a previous TikTok video, Minaj states that “Papa Bear” has had a few nickname iterations.
Although she came close to what we think was a name reveal, we still don’t know “Papa Bear’s” real name. Maybe one day!
