Eddie Murphy and his longtime partner, Paige Butcher, are married! The couple, who got engaged back in 2018, exchanged vows in a stunning beachfront ceremony at the Four Seasons Anguilla.
The celebration was a family affair with almost all ten of Eddie Murphy’s kids present. Notably absent was Angel Iris Murphy, Eddie’s daughter from his previous relationship with Melanie Brown a.k.a Mel B from the Spice Girls.
In a video captured by one of Eddie’s sons, Christian Murphy, the newlyweds could be seen posing on the beach with their children Izzy and Max, as fireworks lit up the sky.
“Congrats you two. No one can top this,” Christian captioned the clip.
Eddie Murphy’s brood spans six daughters and four sons, ranging in ages from 5 to 34.
He is dad to Eric,34, with ex-girlfriend Paulette McNeely; Christian,33, with former girlfriend Tamara Hood; Bria, 34, Myles Mitchell, 31, Shayne Audra, 29, Zola Ivy, 24, Bella Zahra, 21, with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell; Angel Iris,17, with ex Mel B; and Izzy Iona, 8, and Max Charles, 5 with Butcher.
In a recent interview with CBS Mornings, Eddie reflected on his parenting style, describing himself as a laid-back dad who values being present for every milestone.
“I’ve always been the same type of dad. I’m laid-back. I’m not the super, the hard disciplinarian. I’m like a cool dad. But i don’t let them get away with all kinds of stuff The school plays and all that stuff,” he told “CBS Mornings” co-host Gayle King.
“I have always been there for everything. The school plays and all that stuff,” he added.
Eddie and wife Paige have been together since 2012. The couple welcomed their daughter Izzy in May 2016 and their son Max in November 2018.
Prior to Paige, Eddie was married twice before: first to Nicole Murphy for 12 years and then to Tracey Edmonds for a brief 14-day marriage.
