Tristan Thompson spent some quality time with his oldest son, Prince, on Sunday, treating him to a father-son outing at the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel.
The 7-year-old, whom Thompson shares with ex Jordan Craig, was all smiles in the photos shared on social media.
“Lunch date with my Prince,” Thompson captioned the series of snaps.
However, the sweet photos also sparked a debate among fans. While some praised the bonding moment, others questioned why Thompson is rarely seen with his youngest son, whom he shares with Maralee Nichols.
“When you continue to deny your youngest child and continue to post your others, it says a lot about your character. Based on things I’ve read about your mom, would she be proud of you for denying an innocent child the best that life can offer him,” one person commented.
This isn’t the first time Thompson has faced criticism regarding his parenting. Last year, Jordan Craig’s sister, Kai Craig, accused Thompson of being an absentee parent.
In an October 5 Instagram post, Kai Craig voiced her frustration, writing, “It has been so hard to refrain from speaking up, and out of respect for my sister’s privacy I haven’t for over 7 years, but this is just too much,” she wrote. “It’s so painful to see how Tristan can find the time to do these nice things for others but can’t seem to show up and be a real parent for my nephew Prince.”
Kai added in her post, “You are NOT a good father if you can’t be a good father to ALL of your children.”
Thompson’s relationship history adds another layer to the controversy. He began dating Jordan Craig in 2014, but their romance ended when he started seeing Khloe Kardashian in 2016, while Craig was pregnant with Prince.
In addition to Prince, Thompson shares daughter True and son Tatum with Kardashian. He is also the father of Maralee Nichols’ son, Theo, whose paternity was revealed in January 2022.
