The holidays are truly a time to reflect and give back to those who need it the most. Nick Cannon is doing just that. The Wild ‘N Out star made a Christmas visit to a children’s hospital in honor of his late son Zen.
Dressed as Santa Claus, the 43-year-old spent time with the children at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County to spread a little Christmas magic. The Masked Singer host shared a video of his time at the hospital on social media. Cannon captioned the post starting out by saying that his son Zen’s “light [is] shining bright for the holidays”.
“Zens’s Light shinning bright for the holidays!! Thank you to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County and everyone who made the day so loving, warm and memorable.”
Zen Scott Cannon was born to Alyssa Scott and Nick Cannon in June of 2021.
At the time, Cannon stated that he noticed his son’s head seemed larger than usual; however, it was the baby’s breathing that lead them to taking the then two-month-old to the doctor. Doctors discovered that Zen had fluid building in his head and had a malignant brain tumor that required surgery.
A shunt was put in to drain the fluid; however, at five-months-old, Zen died in December due to complications related to a tumor.
Cannon’s visit to the children’s hospital was a part of he and Scott’s ongoing mission to help “foster global excellence in hope, grief care and pediatric healthcare for families and children in need,” through the Zen’s Light Foundation.
In addition to Zen, Scott and Cannon also share one-year-old daughter, Halo Marie.
Cannon is also father to ten other children with five other different women. Cannon’s other children include: Monroe and Moroccan with Mariah Carey; Golden Sagon, Powerful Queen, and Rise Messiah with Brittany Bell; twins Zion and Zillion, and Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa; Onyx Ice with LaNisha Cole; and Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi.
