Adonis Graham is taking center stage in his father’s latest video The five-year-old son of rapper/entertainer Drake and French artist Sophie Brussaux is putting in work alongside his famous father, and stealing the show in Drake’s new video for his song, “8AM in Charlotte“.
In the video, Adonis is seen at the beginning of the video, showing off his artwork to his father. The camera starts off behind Adonis, getting a full view of his artwork. As he and Drake begin talking more about the piece, the camera pans to a side view of the 36-year-old’s mini-me.
Drake questions, “All right. Adonis, tell me about your beautiful piece of artwork that you sold me.”
Adonis begins, “So it’s the same story. So the goat was running away from the other monsters. And the other animals. And a flower blocking the way,” he explains.
And of course, the “goat,” Adonis explains is none other than Drake himself.
And to make sure that everyone knows the entire story behind the artwork, Adonis continues to explain what is emblazoned on the paper that he is holding.
After he is finished, Drake zeros in on the fact that he is “the goat,” saying, “Daddy Goat. That makes perfect sense to me.”
He continues asking his son, “And do you want to talk about how much, how much money you got for your beautiful drawing?”
The business-savvy five-year-old simply scoffs in response, “Oh, please.”
It appears as if Adonis is very involved in Drake’s new album, “For All the Dogs,”. Not only did he make his music video debut in a song off of the upcoming album, he actually drew the cover art for the project.
Adonis is the only son of rapper/entertainer Drake and French artist Sophie Brussaux. Drake and Brussaux are no longer a couple, but they are both learning to successfully navigate co-parenting and making it work for the sake of their creatively talented young rising star
