Rihanna and ASAP Rocky have welcomed their second child child together. The couple have reportedly welcomed another baby boy, according to TMZ:
“Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are now officially parents twice over … as we’ve learned she secretly gave birth to another baby boy earlier this month. Sources with direct knowledge tell us the baby arrived August 3rd in Los Angeles. We don’t yet know the kiddo’s name, but we do know it starts with “R” and it’s a boy.”
The world first caught wind of Rihanna’s pregnancy during her electrifying performance at the Super Bowl Half Time Show on February 12, 2023. Dressed in a striking red jumpsuit, the Barbadian singer treated the audience to a medley of her timeless hits. Amid the dazzling spectacle, it was Rihanna’s unmistakable baby bump and the absence of her signature high-energy dance moves that led thousands of viewers to believe that the star was, indeed, expecting her second child.
It was previously rumored that Rihanna had given birth to a baby girl. This notion gained traction due to her previous statement about her desire to one day have a daughter.
In a previous interview with Essence in 2019, she said, “I’m a Black woman. I came from a Black woman, who came from a Black woman, who came from a Black woman and I’m going to give birth to a Black woman. It’s a no-brainer. That’s who I am. It’s the core of who I am in spirit and DNA.”
She added at the time, “My mother is an incredible example of how to fight through obstacles in life. I’m sure her mom taught her that and that’s how I’m going to be. We are impeccable, we’re special and the world is going to have to deal with that.”
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are already parents to son RZA Athelson, who was born on May 13, 2022.
