Nick Cannon is already a father to 12 beautiful children; however, in a recent interview, the 42-year-old Wild ‘N Out star stated that he is open to having more kids!
On the heels of celebrating his six-month-old daughter Halo’s milestone, and then celebrating twins, Zillion and Zion’s, second birthday’s, the actor, told Dr. Laura Berman on an appearance of The Language of Love with Dr. Laura Berman, that “‘Only God can tell me if I’m done [having children].'”
This isn’t the first time that the rapper has made this comment. He told Dr. Berman that he has “…gotten in trouble about this too before because people will ask me if I’m done,” and that is his common response always to the same question that she asked, “Did God tell you to have all these babies?”
The comedian is always very vocal about his spirituality and fatherhood journey. He has always stated that every one of his children are gifts from God and that God wanted it to be.
In the conversation, Cannon admitted that he had “contemplated deeply” about getting a vasectomy.
“I no longer want to be careless,” he said in his interview. “I want to be a lot more intentional with life, especially when dealing with creating life, because I love all my children but I probably wasn’t intentional. I was like, ‘Oh if it happens, amazing, God’s miracles.'”
Cannon concluded by saying, “So with that, if I do have more children, it will be very intentional and the timing will be the best timing that I believe it should be. There won’t be any more ‘accidents’ or ‘oops’ or ‘surprises.'”
Cannon’s 12 children, mothered by six women, include:
- Twins Moroccan and Monroe with Mariah Carey
- Golden, Powerful Queen, and Rise with Brittany Bell
- Twins Zion and Zillion, and Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa
- Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi
- Onyx Ice with LaNisha Cole
- Halo Marie with Alyssa Scott. Cannon and Scott also had a son, Zen, who died of a brain tumor five months after he was born.
We will just have to wait and see if there will be another Cannon in the stars.
