Shay Johnson is in full celebration mode as her daughter, Shajiyah, crossed her six-month milestone a few days ago. The celebrity mom shed light on her little one’s growth in an Instagram post.

“Look at my mini me @iamshajiyah,” Shay shared along with a candid that featured her with her daughter. “She changed my life,” the Love and Hip Hop: Miami star exclaimed. “I Love you my #SweetPea and I’ll always protect you,” Shay promised Shajiyah.

Many could not believe how quickly the time has passed since Shay announced the arrival of her baby girl. “She is so gorgeous,” one social media follower wrote in reference to Shajiyah’s cuteness. “So adorable,” another fan agreed.

Shay Johnson sat down to discuss her life as a mom earlier this year. “This is something that I’ve wanted for a long time,” the celebrity mom exclaimed. “It definitely came unexpectedly, but I’m blessed,” Shay shared. “Even though I had complications during pregnancy, I am truly blessed,” the new mom continued. “She’s here! She’s healthy! And I’m healthy. That’s all that matters.”

Some moms express a desire to wait a few years before exploring the possibility of having another child. Shay, however, is considering the notion of more kids now.

“I honestly think I want one more,” Shay told BET exclusively earlier this year. “A boy,” she exclaimed. “It honestly doesn’t matter, but in the perfect world, I would want a boy,” Johnson clarified. “I told Shajiyah’s father that I want one more. He said, ‘Let’s do it in about a year or two.’ I’m like, ‘No, I want one now.’”

Shajiyah made her mom a parent for the first time. The little one is her father’s youngest child.

“He’s not going anywhere,” Shay said of her daughter’s father. “That’s his little princess,” the Reality TV star added. “He’s a little controlling, but he knows more than I know when it comes to raising a baby,” Johnson admitted when explaining her co-parenting situation with Shajiyah’s father. “He’s a little more experienced than I am.”
