Aventer Gray is one beaming mom. The wife of Pastor John Gray shared their daughter’s latest accomplishment with social media fans this past Friday (Jul. 29).
Theory Gray takes after her mom in dance. The youngster competed in a figure skating competition in Charleston that she won. “Theory on ice,” Aventer said of her daughter’s accomplishment. “She nailed it,” the proud mom exclaimed.
“I am in my very real feelings,” Gray told her supporters. “Our Ice Princess lit [fire] to that ice this afternoon,” Aventer shared with her supporters. “I’m in awe at (sic) her passion and drive,” the celebrity mom beamed. “After her last competition, where she was discouraged, got 4th behind a fall, wasn’t motivated, she had a little setback in her mind,” Aventer admitted.
“Today’s competition was scheduled and paid for well before it was to happen. She went back and forth about staying in it, especially after what just took place with her father @realjohngray. WE Changed coaches, she had to adjust her program which usually takes about 6-8 weeks to prepare for in 2, had a whole daddy in CCU, 50% less practice ice time in [the] month of July, BUT she pressed,” Aventer shared of Theory’s tenacity.
“She was determined, and she walked away with FIRST in her division,” Gray continued. “SHE IS HER MOMMA! PERIOD,” the proud mom exclaimed. “In spite of all she and her brother just went through, she wanted to skate for her daddy,” Aventer said of her daughter’s motivation. “Although he couldn’t be present, she wanted to bring him one, FIRST PLACE and she was the youngest, 9!”
Theory Gray danced to Beyonce’s ‘Be Alive,’ which was sentimental in more ways than one. Aventer noted that her daughter’s song choice was in perfect sync with Bey’s new album, Renaissance, which was released on Friday. “We didn’t know which day they would give her just happened this way,” the proud mom said. “Last month it was fourth, but today, with much less preparation, it was a WIN! We love you baby doll! You did it!”
Theory Gray is one of two children pastors John and Aventer Gray parent. The couple also has a son named John Gray IV.
