John Legend enjoyed a Casino Royale themed birthday party this past weekend thanks to his wife, Chrissy Teigen, who threw the bash for her husband in honor of his 40th birthday. The EGOT entertainer recently took to social media to thank his wife for giving him a celebration to remember.
“Saturday night, my amazing wife threw me the most incredible 40th birthday party I could imagine,” John exclaimed online. “So good to be surrounded by family and loved ones. I had the time of my life. I’m so grateful. And the photo booth? The greatest of all time,” he added.
Miles Stephens, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s son, was definitely picture-ready. The youngster rocked a tuxedo for the party that helped him channel his father’s charm. Many already believe that Miles is John’s twin. The little one was definitely giving us John at an awards ceremony in the candid shots.
John Legend has steadily worked to build his brand over the years. The award-winning artist delved into his life before the fame during a recent interview with CNBC.
“It was me and two of my friends from college we all had, like, corporate jobs,” John shared with the media outlet. “I was a management consultant,” he continued. “It was fine…I did meet some great people, I learned a lot, and I think it was a powerful experience to learn more about how business works, how to work in groups, make a PowerPoint presentation.”
Working a traditional job, however, was not John’s passion. It was not until the age of 25 that the singer would step into his calling as an entertainer.
“You learn that sometimes you have to do things you don’t absolutely love,” Legend revealed to CNBC. “But always have something in mind for your future that you’re working towards,” he advised.
