Jordin Sparks and her husband, Dana Isaiah, did not have the impulse to share pictures of their son, Dana Isaiah Thomas Jr., the moment that the little one arrived. Instead, the celebrity couple discussed whether they would invite the world to see snippets of their son via social media before his birth.

“We talked about whether or not we would hide Lil Dana from the media almost as soon as we found out she was pregnant,” Dana revealed in a recent inspirational Instagram post. “As much as I want to protect him and shield him from the evil trolls of this world, I also want to raise him to be a strong man who can take the jabs people throw and keep it moving,” the celebrity father explained.
Dana went on to tell his followers, “As a parent and as a man I have to watch how I move and respond to people because he will follow my every move. No more feeding into the negative nonsense. Instead of feeding into the hate I will always teach him to love. When they go low we go high.”

Any mom or dad with a significant social media following knows that there is always that one troll who chooses to comment on a person’s “inadequate” parenting instead of appreciating the precious moment being shared via picture. The problem is consistently an issue for women, hence the term mommy shaming. Still, fathers are progressively becoming the targets of online trolls who have little else to accomplish in life besides telling someone that they do not know how to parent.
