JHENE AIKO TALKS STRENGTH AND COMPASSION ALONGSIDE HER DAUGHTER AND MOTHER

"You Can Be Strong And Good"

Beauty is more than a skin-deep concept according to Jhene Aiko, Namiko Love Browner, and Christina Yamamoto. The celebrity mom along with her mother and daughter break down the meaning of a good life and how they live out strong yet compassionate personalities every day.

“I come from a long line of strong and independent — but also extremely compassionate — women,” Jhene tells ALLURE. “If you can be compassionate and speak for what you want, then you’ll never get in trouble,” she shares. “It doesn’t mean you’re weak because you’re nice. And it doesn’t mean you’re a B-I-T-C-H if you speak up for yourself. You can be strong and good.”

Strength mixed with care is something that Jhene gets from her mom. Christina Yamamoto is not afraid to speak her truth but does so in a way that is beneficial to both the deliverer and receiver. “My daughters know how to speak up for themselves,” she says.
