Over the weekend, Kandi Burruss hosted her annual “Back Pack Drive” on behalf of her foundation Kandi Cares. The event was held at her anchor Tags Boutique in the heart of Atlanta’s Buckhead community.
According to blogger and photographer FreddyO, “The purpose of the event was to collect school supplies for single parent households. Kandi shared with enthusiasm that her Kandi Cares’ foundation will be gifting 100 families with back packs and school supplies at it’s formal event that’s taking place on Saturday August 6, 2016 at Lenox Mall at Macy’s at 2pm.”
In attendance at the event were R&B singer RL from Next, his fiancé and rumored new house wife of Atlanta Lena Chenier, Chanita Foster who serves as the Director of Kandi Cares, to a name a few.
