Monica was so proud of her sons for doing well in school that she wanted to give them a reward for all of their hard work. And what better way to reward boys than to take them to see a wrestling match? Rodney and Romelo recently had the distinct pleasure of attending a WWE match with mom, and going backstage to meet up with a few of the wrestlers before the night ended. John Cena and The Shield were two of many superstars that the boys got to see.
The brothers couldn’t get enough of Cena, as they took several pictures with him while backstage. “This was a dream come true for my children.. It was a blessing to be able to make it happen & to encourage them to continue to do great in school!!! Thank u @johncena they’re still smiling,” tweeted Monica after the match.
The singer also talked about her son’s stellar performance in school that led up to the reward of visiting WWE. “My Boys report cards!!! I am very proud of them. Parents no matter what your going thru encourage your children. They find strength in us, hope in us & learn they can make a way out of no way from us..Teach them that they can be, have & accomplish ANYTHING. I tell my starting with nothing allowed me to appreciate everything. Dream it then live it!!!! I love u Rocko & Romelo.”
Rodney and Romelo are Monica’s children with ex-boyfriend Rodney Hill Sr. The singer has three kids in all.
