The Obamas stuck with tradition this past weekend as they watched Oregon State compete against Maryland in a phenomenal basketball game. The President and his family sat court side, observing every move the players made and cheering on their favorite team. Malia was quite the celebrity of the bunch as attendees shouted her name as she entered the arena.
The eldest daughter of the First Family was recently deemed one of TIME magazine’s most influential teens. The magazine spoke well of Malia and her parents telling readers that the family, “seem[s] to lead as normal lives as they can while still meeting the demands of being in the limelight. President Obama often mentions his daughters in speeches, and says that they influenced his stance on gay marriage.” Lydia, a golfer from New Zealand, and Olympic Gold Medalist Missy Franklin were also listed as influential teens.
