Angela Bassett’s twins are frenemies. The actress recently sat down with Access Hollywood to talk about her new film, ‘Olympus Has Fallen,’ and revealed that her son, Slater, and daughter, Bronwyn, are both friends and enemies.
“Oh gosh, they fight,” said Bassett. “They ask me constantly, ‘Mommy, are you happy?’ Well, he [Slater] asks me that. And I say, ‘If we are not bickering, punching or fighting, then yes, I’m happy. But every day we’re bickering, punching and fighting!'”
Although they fight a lot, Bronwyn and Slater have much love for each other. “She’s big heart — she loves her brother — and he protects her in school,” explained Angela. “If she’s having some trouble he’s right in there for her [saying], ‘Don’t you talk back to my sister!'”
Bronwyn and Slater celebrated their 7th birthdays in January. They are Angela and husband Courtney B. Vance’s little ones.
