CIARA, RUSSELL WILSON BRING THEIR ELDEST KIDS TO FSF GALA: “WE WANT THEM TO BE INSPIRED”

Ciara and Russell Wilson had their two eldest children, Sienna Princess Wilson, 8, and Future Zahir Wilburn, 11, by their side at the Fashion Scholarship Fund’s 89th annual gala in New York City on March 23.

While on the black carpet, the family spoke to USA Today about what it was like to enjoy a night out together.

“I know you guys are used to this, but to have the kids here, what’s this like?” the interviewer asked.

“A lot of fun, a lot of energy,” Future said.

Sienna quickly jumped in, adding, “Yeah, I have a lot of energy. That’s why he said that. I’m crazy.”

Ciara smiled at the exchange before chiming in with her own take.

“Clearly they have a lot of energy, but it makes us so happy that they get to see us in moments like this, you know, because they are the future, you know? And we just want them to be inspired in rooms like this and see mommy and dad do what they do today at work with mom and dad. And they’re also going to go back to doing homework in a second too, so we’re staying focused around here,” she said.

Ciara and Wilson were among the night’s honorees, alongside celebrity stylist Law Roach and PVH Corp. CEO Stefan Larsson. The four industry leaders were all recognized for their role in supporting the next generation of fashion talent.

Later in the evening, Ciara reflected on the honor while speaking to WWD.

“It’s amazing when people look up to you, you know, I don’t take that lightly. We don’t take it lightly. We want kids to dream as big as we did, you know, being young and having a why not you mentality,” she said.

“So, you know, nights like this are special for so many reasons. And there’s nothing better than when someone sees you in a room, right? It’s such an honor to be seen and it’s a joy to be seen. It’s inspiring to be seen. So we’re just thankful for all the reasons and more,” she added.

The gala, hosted by fashion editor and former FSF scholar Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, brought together 160 students from colleges and universities across the country as part of the Class of 2026 Fashion Scholarship Fund Scholars and Virgil Abloh Post-Modern Scholars.

More than $1.9 million in scholarships was awarded during the event, with students recognized for their potential across creative, marketing and business fields as they prepare to enter the industry.

In addition to Sienna and Future, Russell and Ciara are parents son Win Harrison Wilson, 5, and youngest daughter, Amora Princess Wilson, 2.
