Adut Akech is preparing to welcome another little one.
The 26-year-old supermodel revealed that she is expecting her second child with partner Samuel Elkhier. She announced the news earlier this month on Instagram, sharing a series of images from a maternity shoot.
“Baby #2. Kiki entering her big sister era ,” she wrote. “God’s divine timing is truly perfect. To be blessed once again with the sacred gift of life is the greatest honor of my life. My heart is so full. Thank You, God!.”
Akech also included Psalm 121:8 in the caption and thanked her photographer, stylist and makeup artist for helping her “capture this special moment.”
The model has previously spoken about how motherhood changed her life. In a November 2025 interview with Vogue, she reflected on the experience of welcoming her first child.
” Motherhood… the patience I have learned I didn’t think was possible. Obviously, there are ups and downs, but the minute they come into this world, nothing else matters. You forget about labour, you forget about being pregnant for nine months. Everything goes out the window and you enter this new world of every time you look at them, just thinking, ‘Oh my god. What? You’re mine? I made you? You’re just the cutest thing ever.’ And you’re in this bubble. I’m still in that bubble, and I hope I never come out of that.
She continued, “I think that being a mother has just made me become an overall better person. I’m more… I mean, I think I was a very kind person before, but I think I’m just more kind now. I just appreciate everything. I appreciate life. I appreciate the things I didn’t necessarily appreciate as much before. And I’m a better friend. I’m a better partner, I think, when I’m not being a raging b… you know?”
Akech welcomed her first child, daughter Kiki, in November 2024.
