Garcelle Beauvais stepped out with her son Jaid Thomas Nilon on Tuesday night to attend Lifetime’s Love of a Lifetime celebration at Poppy in Los Angeles just days after a frightening incident at her home.
The actress and television host appeared in good spirits alongside Jaid at the January 27 event, which brought together cast members and creatives from the Lifetime project.
The public outing followed a police response at Beauvais’ residence on Sunday night after authorities received a false emergency call. According to reports, the caller allegedly claimed to be Beauvais’ ex and told police he was armed with a sawed-off shotgun and at her property.
Beauvais later said in an interview with TMZ that she was home when officers arrived and did not know who placed the call. She described the experience as “horrible” but said she was relieved her family was not inside the house at the time. Police later confirmed the call was false.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum is a mother of three to 18-year-old twin sons Jax and Jaid, along with her older son, Oliver.
The twins turned 18 in October, a milestone Beauvais celebrated last year alongside their father, Mike Nilon. For the occasion, the family hosted a birthday party that transformed a studio in Southern California into the streets of New York.
Photos shared on social media showed Jax and Jaid having the time of their lives as they posed in a photo booth with their parents and older brother, Oliver.
“A perfect night celebrating our boys Jax [and] Jaid surrounded by the best people!” Beauvais wrote at the time.
