A$AP Rocky says becoming a father was something he envisioned long before starting a family with Rihanna, and he’s now fully immersed in life as a hands-on dad of three.
“I wanted to be a dad before I got with my girl,” Rocky says to Esquire in a new interview. “I wanted a little baby girl or boy, whatever God gave, and God blessed me with three.”

Rocky and Rihanna are parents to three children. They welcomed their youngest, daughter Rocki Irish Mayers, in September, officially making Rocky a girl dad. He also shares two sons with the singer: Rza Athelaston Mayers, born in May 2022, and Riot Rose Mayers, born in August 2023.
For the dad of three, time away from his children is never easy. “Man, I miss my kids,” he says, before walking through what life looks like at home with three young children.

Rocky says all of his kids are blessed with his good looks, though it is still too early to get a true sense of Rocki’s personality. His sons, however, already show very different sides of their personalities. According to Rocky, his oldest son is a picky eater, while Riot is the opposite. Riot, he says, will eat anything sweet, something Rocky suspects may be hereditary.
The rapper also shares how the dynamic between his two sons has changed as Riot has grown. “Rza’s finally starting to stick up for hisself again, because Rza used to bully the shit out of Riot when Riot couldn’t walk and talk,” he says. “Now Riot go take that boy book from him, take his pacifier.”

When it comes to talking, Rocky makes it clear Riot has plenty to say. “Rza don’t be talking. That’s Riot. He can’t stop running his mouth,” he adds, laughing as he recalls a recent moment when Riot told on him. After Rocky left the house without saying goodbye, his son quickly reported it to Rihanna. “He was like, ‘Dada left. Dada left through the door.’ She told me, ‘You left?’ I’m like, Yeah, why? She like, ‘Because our son told me you left. It’d been nice to say goodbye.’”
The family spent Christmas together in matching pajamas, though Rocky says the photos will never see the light of day. “That ain’t me,” he explains, joking that his kids will eventually know the difference. “Ma dukes got to get thrown under the bus,” he adds, half joking but also serious about one thing: never letting his kids think he’s uncool.
