Yaya Mayweather took to X this week to publicly address frustrations involving NBA YoungBoy and their son, KJ.
In a series of posts, Mayweather accused the rapper of failing to contribute to their child’s recent birthday celebration while continuing to spend money elsewhere.
She claimed that despite traveling to the same state where their son lives, YoungBoy did not make time to see him, writing that she had “never heard of someone going to the same state their child lives in and doesn’t see them.”
Mayweather also alleged favoritism, saying NBA YoungBoy spent money on shopping and jewelry for other women while not contributing to their son’s birthday party. She said her father, Floyd Mayweather, covered the cost of the celebration.
“You know who paid for my son’s birthday party? My dad,” she wrote in one post.
She further explained that while her father helps financially, his involvement goes beyond money.
“My dad doesn’t just help me with KJ financially either. When I tell y’all my dad really stepped up and is more like a father figure to KJ than a grandfather, he’s the one teaching KJ how to be a real man. He’s there mentally, physically, emotionally etc.”
The posts quickly circulated across social media, prompting mixed reactions. Some users questioned why Mayweather was raising the issue publicly, noting her financial resources.
Responding to those comments, she wrote, “It doesn’t matter if I have it or not. I didn’t lay down with my dad and make a baby, but somehow he’s the one stuck helping me take care of my child.”

“It doesn’t matter if I have it or not,” she wrote in another message. “I didn’t lay down with my dad and make a baby, but somehow he’s the one stuck helping me take care of my child.”
Neither YoungBoy nor his representatives have publicly responded to the claims.
