CORI BROADUS AND WAYNE DEUCE BRING BABY GIRL HOME NEARLY A YEAR AFTER NICU STAY

Cori Broadus and fiancé Wayne Deuce are celebrating a major moment as their baby girl is officially home.

Broadus shared the happy news on her Instagram alongside photos showing her cuddling up in bed with her newborn daughter. Alongside the images, the proud mom wrote, “She’s home. 🤍 Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all. 🕊️✨”

Cori, 25, and Wayne Deuce welcomed their daughter, Codi Dreaux, in February 2025, nearly four months ahead of her due date. The baby spent several months in the NICU following her premature birth.

In December, Wayne reflected on the emotional toll of that journey in a touching message shared on social media. “TThis isn’t what I planned. This isn’t what anyone prepares you for. But this is where I show up.. every night, every morning, even when we exhausted in ways sleep can’t fix. I’ve learned strength doesn’t always look brave. Sometimes it looks like staying. Sometimes it looks like sitting in silence and holding hope together with praying hands. Daddy Loves you Codi Dreaux, my strong girl !! #picu #nicu #nicudad #picudad.”

Cori, the owner of a beauty company and daughter of Snoop Dogg, has been open about her own health challenges over the years. She was diagnosed with lupus at age 7 and also has secondary antiphospholipid antibody syndrome, an autoimmune disorder. A year before becoming pregnant, she suffered a stroke.

Despite the complications surrounding her pregnancy and Codi’s early arrival, Cori previously shared that her daughter has continued to show remarkable strength.

“She’s so resilient and strong,” Cori told Us Weekly in an interview published Sept. 16. “She just has so much character.”

The new mom added that doctors and nurses in the NICU often commented on her daughter’s alertness and awareness. “That girl is just a sweet little firecracker,” she said.

Cori has also spoken candidly about the emotional ups and downs of spending weeks in the NICU. “The NICU is a different type of experience,” she shared. “It’s not an easy place to be, but the support is amazing.”

Reflecting on her own medical history, Cori described Codi as her “surprise miracle baby,” noting that doctors once told her she would never be able to have children. “Yet she’s here,” she said. “She’s so beautiful, and I just love her.”
