MEGHAN MARKLE SHARES THE ‘GROWN-UP’ CHRISTMAS GIFT SHE PICKED FOR PRINCESS LILIBET

Meghan Markle is sharing how her family celebrates the holiday season in her new Netflix release, With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration.

In the project, the Duchess of Sussex discusses Christmas traditions at home with Prince Harry and their children. During one moment, she turns the focus to her daughter, Princess Lilibet, 4, who Meghan says has recently been interested in doing things like a “grown-up lady.” Later in the segment, Meghan joins restaurateur Will Guidara to make traditional British Christmas crackers, a longtime holiday tradition in the U.K. The crackers are pulled apart at the table and typically include a small surprise inside.

“Living in the U.K., it’s just such a big part of [the culture over there]. For Christmas holidays, for sure,” Meghan shared with Will. “Typically, people cross arms and do it. So they sit around the table, and they all pull at the same time. It does feel really connected and sweet.”

Meghan customized a cracker for each member of her family. Lilibet’s included a lavender roller ball, which Meghan described as a “grown-up” gift.

“Lili really likes trying to be a grown-up lady at the moment, so this is, like, a lavender roller ball,” she shared, wrapping the gift in the Christmas cracker.

The project also includes scenes of Meghan crafting with Naomi Osaka and hosting a holiday brunch with close friends. Prince Harry makes a brief appearance near the end.

“I love the holiday season,” Meghan said in the special. “It’s about finding time to connect with the people we love, embracing traditions and making new ones.”

The special also gives a subtle preview of what Meghan has been working on beyond the screen. A few pieces from her new lifestyle brand, As Ever, show up naturally during the episode.

Outside of filming, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been keeping the focus on family and service. The couple recently brought Archie and Lilibet along to volunteer in Los Angeles, where they helped prepare meals for people in need. Meghan later shared a brief glimpse from the day on her Instagram Stories, writing, “Show up, do good.”

In a previous holiday interview with Marie Claire, Meghan reflected on parenting during this stage of life.

“Now we’re at the age where I just can’t wait to see it through their lens every year,” she said. “We’re always making sure we have something fun to do.”
