The Creed universe is officially growing and this time, the story moves beyond the boxing ring we’ve come to know. Michael B. Jordan confirms that the series will expand to a spinoff centered on Adonis’ daughter.
The actor confirmed in a recent interview with Variety that Prime Video has picked up a television series centered on Amara Creed, the daughter of Adonis Creed. The project marks the first time the long-running Rocky and Creed franchise will follow a story led by a female character.
“We’re spinning off doing Adonis’s daughter, Amara’s story, the television show that’s picked up at Amazon,” the Sinners actor said. “So you’ll be seeing different parts of the Creed-verse, I like to call it. These little IPs are going to keep the universe alive without it being completely reliant on just me to push it through the finish line every time as a boxer. I’ll be adjacent.”
Amara was introduced in Creed III, played by Mila Davis-Kent, where she appeared as Adonis’ daughter and quietly became one of the film’s emotional anchors. Her character brought a different energy to the franchise, one rooted in family, communication, and resilience, rather than competition inside the ring.
While there aren’t many details yet about what the series will look like, the 38-year-old’s comments make it clear that this isn’t just a one-off idea and that more stories set in the Creed world are actively being developed. Instead of focusing solely on Adonis’ career as a fighter, the expansion allows room to explore life after legacy has already been established.
The idea of Amara as a central figure isn’t entirely new. In 2023, BOOM! Studios released Creed: The Next Round, a comic series imagining Amara as an older character working through the pressures of her family name while carving out her own future. That storyline laid early groundwork for a longer-form exploration of her character.
Michael B. Jordan also confirmed that Creed 4 remains part of the plan, though it won’t happen immediately. With his upcoming reimagining of The Thomas Crown Affair slated for release in 2027, another film in the Creed franchise would likely arrive later.
In the meantime, Prime Video is continuing to invest in the Creed world. Earlier this year, the platform announced Delphi, a series set inside the iconic boxing gym associated with Apollo Creed’s legacy, further expanding the universe beyond one central character.
