North West isn’t wasting her time on online negativity and her mom, Kim Kardashian, couldn’t be prouder as she claps back at social media critics after fake tattoos and piercings go viral.
Kim recently revealed her 12-year-old daughter’s calm reaction to backlash over the faux tattoos and piercings she sported in a viral TikTok video. During a Complex “GOAT Talk” segment with her All’s Fair co-star Niecy Nash-Betts, the 45-year-old said North handled the situation like a pro.
“She writes back to a comment, and she goes, ‘This is such a non-issue,’” the mother-of-four recalled, calling it a “good clapback.”
The moment stemmed from an October post that had social media buzzing with headlines like, “Kim defends North to the end on this look.”

Rather than defend or explain too much, Kim simply shared the context behind her daughter’s playful experiment. “Her and her girlfriends, they love doing costumes, they love doing looks,” she said. “It’s Halloween season, so they put on fake tattoos on their face, fake piercings. They all had their colored hair. They looked like an opium Powerpuff Girls. [That’s] what they were going for.”
This isn’t the first time Kim has addressed conversations about her daughter’s style. During an October 15 Call Her Daddy podcast appearance, she admitted it’s “really hard and really interesting” when North goes viral for fashion choices, like the corset and miniskirt she wore back in August of this year.

“All the kids are wearing the same things,” she said. “But then my daughter tries to wear it and then I’m like, ‘OK, we’re never wearing that again.’ Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world.”
“As a mom, you’re kind of learning at the same time,” she continued. “But what I do know is my baby’s such a good girl and such a sweet girl.”
Kim added that she hopes people will show her “a little bit of grace” as she navigates raising her four children, North, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6.
The SKIMS founder shares her kids with ex-husband Kanye West and revealed on the podcast that the rapper, 48, hadn’t called their children “in a couple months.”
