Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz recently celebrated their son Egypt’s 15th birthday with a special tribute post on social media.
“Happy Birthday, my young King!!” the musician began her reel set to original music. You were born for this! You’ve always loved it! Everything you touch is magic!! I admire your spirit, the fabric of your character, your kindness, your passion, your determination your DRIVE!!”
She continued, “You got it!! May you always be exactly who you are! Unapologetically!! Let’s go Egypt!! Love your mama 4eva!”
Swizz Beatz also took to Instagram to share a sweet message. “15yrs of pure EGYPT BLISS & BLESSINGS. Happy Birthday King we’re so proud of you 🙏🏽 Your love for Music and Basketball is very inspiring King. Your dreams of the NBA is bright with all the 5am practicing before school dedication and hard work ! Keep being the light King Dad loves you. How the hell are you 6 ft 4.”
Keys and Beatz share two sons, Egypt and Genesis. Keys is also a proud stepmother to Beatz’s three older children from previous relationships — Prince Nasir, Kasseem Jr., and Nicole.
Over the summer, the family traveled to Japan for the two-day Summer Sonic Festival, where Keys performed for thousands of fans. The trip doubled as a family getaway, offering a chance to experience the culture and sights together.
“Surrounded by love, soaking in the beauty of Japan, cherishing every moment! What a blessing,” the 44-year-old captioned on Instagram carousel of images that shared the mix of adventure and downtime.
The trip turned into more than a vacation, as Keys later reflected that the experience was “good for her soul”.
