Terry Crews and his former Everybody Hates Chris co-star Imani Hakim reunited in Pasadena on October 2 for a good cause.
The two attended the Pink Patch Project’s charity event and fashion show, which Crews and his wife, Rebecca Crews, hosted at her boutique in Old Town Pasadena. Now in its tenth year, the Pink Patch Project is a nationwide campaign led by police departments to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research.
Hakim, who played Tonya Rock on the hit sitcom, was joined by her fiancé, Chris Naoki Lee, and their baby boy, Kazuo-Marley Hakim Lee. The family joined attendees for an evening that combined fashion with purpose.
“This special event wasn’t just about showcasing style—it was about bringing awareness to breast cancer and standing in strength with survivors and their families. Thank you, NBC, for helping us share this important message,” Rebecca shared on Instagram.
The event also marked the one-year anniversary of Rebecca’s boutique and carried deep personal meaning for her. During the pandemic in 2020, she underwent successful treatment for breast cancer at Huntington Hospital. In recognition of that journey, the Pasadena Police Department partnered with Huntington Health for this year’s campaign.
Proceeds from the event will go toward the Huntington Health Cancer Center, supporting early detection, treatment, and care for women and families impacted by breast cancer.
Outside their advocacy, Terry, 57, and Rebecca, 59, have shared plans to expand their family through adoption. “Terry and I have for a long time, had a burden for foster youth,” Rebecca shared. “We are always trying to get into a place of adopting. We’re just getting old, but we’ve always had a love for kids, and especially kids that aren’t in stable families.”
