Disney Channel crossovers are officially making their way back to prime time! The entertainment giant has just released the teaser trailer for their new series, Vampirina: Teenage Vampire.
Vampirina: Teenage Vampire will feature a crossover with another hit Disney series, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. The upcoming project is based on a book series, and the Disney Jr. series, of the same name. This is the first time Vampirina: Teenage Vampire will be featured in a live-action format.
So, just what can Vampirina: Teenage Vampire fans expect from the new series? Well, check out a synopsis from JustJaredJr.com below.
Vampirina: Teenage Vampire tells the story of a tween vampire girl who leaves the safety of Transylvania to attend a performing arts boarding school. Living amongst humans for the first time, she pursues her passion for music while keeping her vampire identity a secret, something that’s made more challenging when her overprotective father charges an overzealous ghost to live with her at the school.

According to JJJ, Kenzi Richardson will star as the teenage vampire, Vee; Jiwon Lee as Sophie, Vee’s roommate; Shaun Dixon will star as the intriguing and laid-back Elijah; Milo Maharlika as the 600-year-old ghost, Demi; and Faith Hedley rounds out the main cast as Britney, a super-talented legacy student.
HSMTMTS‘ Kate Reinders and Jeff Meacham are set to recur in the series as Vee’s loving vampire parents, with Kim Coles playing Dean Merriweather of Wilson Hall Academy of the Arts.
First season guest stars include: Raven’s Home star Mykal-Michelle Harris as delightful and dangerous Ruby, M3GAN‘s Jenna Davis as magnetic upperclassmen Megan and Zombies‘ Ariel Martin as megacool popstar Millie Eyelash. Wizards Beyond Waverly Place‘s Janice LeAnn Brown will also guest star as her Wizards character Billie in the crossover episode.
Vampirina: Teenage Vampire is set to premiere on Friday, September 12th at 8pm ET/PT on Disney Channel with the first two episodes, with new episodes dropping weekly. All 16 episodes will then be available for streaming on Disney+ October 15th!
