Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton are getting ready to welcome a little prince!
The Love Is Blind stars, who tied the knot after meeting on season one of the hit Netflix series in 2018, revealed they’re expecting a baby boy in a sweet gender reveal video shared to Instagram on Aug. 1.
In the creative black-and-white clip, Lauren, 37, and Cameron, 38, step outside their home to find a mock newspaper, The Hamilton Herald, waiting on their doorstep. As they flip through the pages, the headline reads: “Baby Hamilton Gender Revealed.”
Moments later, the screen bursts into color to reveal the message, “Extra! Extra! It’s a boy! A little prince is on the way coming to a crib near you.”
Set to JVKE’s “Golden Hour,” the video captures Lauren jumping for joy before sharing a sweet kiss with Cameron.
The reveal marks a special milestone in their parenthood journey, which they’ve been open about over the past year. In May, Lauren and Cameron shared that they conceived through in-vitro fertilization (IVF) after trying for four years.
“We were counting down the days ‘til we could test because we did IVF,” Cameron told People at the time. “We did the classic test and we both went into the bathroom to look.”
Lauren said seeing the word pregnant brought her to tears. “Seeing the word pregnant, it was amazing,” she told People. “We just looked at each other. I fell to my knees and cried.”
Throughout the IVF process, Lauren endured medications and daily injections. Though challenging, the couple said it brought them even closer.
“Knowing that IVF and all this stuff wasn’t really something that you naturally wanted to do but you did it for me,” Cameron told Lauren during an episode of their The Love Seat podcast, “you showed me a new level of love that I’d never seen before.”
