Keke Palmer’s little one is officially a star in the making! The two-year-old recently stared alongside the Emmy-winning actress in a back-to-school campaign for The Children’s Place.
The 31-year-old and Leodis teamed up for his very first campaign appearance. The campaign, which dropped on July 29 on Palmer’s Instagram, gives fans an exclusive peek into the sweet and playful bond between mother and son.
Styled by Palmer herself, the campaign showcases vibrant back-to-school looks featuring Leo and his friends. The actress blended bold prints, comfy staples, and kid-friendly fashion that’s both stylish and functional. All of Palmer’s back-to-school picks are now available at ChildrensPlace.com.
Palmer, who shares Leodis with ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson, welcomed her son in February 2023. Since then, she’s been open about the joys and challenges of motherhood, frequently sharing heartfelt moments and silly videos with Leo on social media.
“Mommy’ing is coming along if you were looking for an update,” she shared on Instagram in March 2023. “I have juggled quite a few careers but this is my greatest gig of all. I will never be the same again, but if you thought I was a bad mama jamma before, you can’t imagine the greater purpose my son has given my life!”
On an episode of Scott Evans’ House Guest podcast, Palmer, whose full name is Lauren Palmer, recalled how she and Jackson came up with their son’s unique name. “Darius actually made his name. He wanted both our names, which is so crazy,” she said, referencing the Chicago trend of blending parents’ names. “So yeah, that was him trying to put like Darius and Lauren, like Leodis, like it was just too much, but I said, ‘Hey, let’s do it. It’s adorable.’”
She added with a laugh, “I was pregnant, anything went. It’s adorable, … and then also it sounded like an old name. He sounded like he was marching with [Martin Luther King Jr.]. It’s like Leodis Andrellton Jackson. He’s gonna be on somebody’s campaign.”

Speaking recently with E! News, Palmer discussed her upcoming film The Pickup, new album Just Keke, and revealed she’s most excited for Leodis to eventually watch one special film from her career, Akeelah and the Bee.
Now balancing motherhood with a thriving entertainment career, Palmer told People Magazine that her 30s have ushered in a new sense of clarity and calm.
“I do feel like being 30, it’s put me in a different head space that’s allowed me to kind of feel more observational about my life,” she said. “I’m not so in the weeds of everything. I’m really trusting and having faith that everything will work out as it should. I think so much of that peace has come from my son.”
