DEION SANDERS’ GRANDSON SENDS ADORABLE MESSAGE AS COACH PRIME RECOVERS FROM SURGERY

Deion Sanders is on the road to recovery, and he’s got the cutest cheerleader by his side.

Shortly after the college football coach revealed he had surgery to remove his bladder due to a tumor, a touching message appeared on the Instagram page of his grandson, Snow Sanders Broadnax.

Snow, the baby boy of Deiondra Sanders and singer Jacquees, is still an infant, so the message was likely penned by his mom.

“Love you PaPa!” Snow’s message began. “Thanks for always playing with me even though you were going thru a lot. I am glad you are healing.”

The toddler’s note continued with a playful jab: “You have to grow old to teach me football, everything else and be hard on me like you were on my mommy, except I won’t quit. lol Even though your diapers get fuller quicker than mine now I still will fall asleep with you any day.”

The post ended with, “Love you Papa Prime @deionsanders.”

Earlier this week, Sanders, 57, shared details of his health journey during a press conference at the University of Colorado.

He revealed that a tumor was discovered during a routine vascular exam and that he had surgery to remove his bladder. His surgeon, Dr. Janet Kukreja, joined him and announced that Sanders is now cancer-free.

“I don’t use that word lightly,” Kukreja added.

Still, Sanders shared the recovery process hasn’t been easy and he’s even lost 25 punds.

“This was not an easy task. … It was tough. It wasn’t a cakewalk,” said Sanders. “That was a fight, but we made it.”

He also admitted to keeping the diagnosis private from most of his family, including sons Shedeur and Shilo, so they could stay focused on their NFL careers.

“They didn’t know what the extent of it was,” Sanders said, “… so they could be focused on making the team and not focused on dad.”

Despite the health scare, Coach Prime made it clear: he’s not stepping away from the game. He plans to continue coaching the Buffaloes this season with his grandson clearly cheering him on every step of the way.
