Alicia Keys is cherishing special moments with her son Egypt Dean. On Tuesday, July 15, the singer shared a glimpse into a recent “mom-son date” that she had with her 14-year-old.
In a series of photos posted to Instagram, Keys reflected on her son’s growth and expressed how proud she is of him.
“Mom-son date night makes me so happy! Watching you grow into such a brilliant, kind, determined, young soul takes my breath away,” she wrote. “I’m beyond proud of the young king you’re becoming.”
Keys shares Egypt and his younger brother Genesis, 10, with husband Swizz Beatz.
The music producer is also dad to Prince Nasir, 24, with Nicole Levy; Kasseem Dean Jr., 18, with ex-wife Mashonda Tifrere; and Nicole Dean, 16, with singer Jahna Sebastian.
The family has had a lot to celebrate this summer. Egypt and Kasseem both recently graduated and received an outpouring of love from their parents.
“Congratulations to our beloved @egypt_basketball_ and @yayachronicles on your promotion, graduation, and the endless possibilities in your future!!” Keys shared in June. “You are magnificent, super magical beings!!! There’s nothing you can’t do!”
She added, “May you continue to be blessed and share your light with the world!! It’s just the beginning!! You are loved!!”
Swizz also congratulated Egypt, writing, “Graduation time is serious at the Deans. Congrats to @egypt_basketball_ Keep going—we’re very proud of you, young King .”
He had a special message for Kasseem as well, who is headed to NYU: “Today is the beginning of the rest of your life ⚡️ Sky’s not the limit, it’s just the view ⚡️ Life begins at the end of your comfort zone. Show them better than you can tell them. We love you King @nyuniversity A true Dean is on the way. Blessings to the entire Class of 2025″
