SHAI MOSS TEASES DAD BOW WOW ABOUT HIS HEIGHT AT THE BET AWARDS

Bow Wow had a surprise visitor while co-hosting the red carpet at the 2025 BET Awards, held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on June 9.

The rapper and actor was joined by his 14-year-old daughter, Shai Moss, who had just arrived and stepped onto the carpet for a quick chat with her dad.

Dressed in coordinating outfits, the duo shared a playful moment that gave fans a glimpse into their close bond.

“My daughter just crashed the set,” Bow Wow said. “She just got off the plane, and the first thing she says is, ‘I’m almost as tall as you.’” He added, “The reason why she’s here is not to support her dad. So who do you want to see?” To which Shai confidently replied, “Everybody.”

While fans agreed that Shai is nearly as tall as her dad, some felt her dress, which had a hip cutout, looked too mature for her age.

One person quipped, “Why her lil hip bone out?!!!N E whoooooooo. Beautiful girl! We love Bow Wow! This is our childhood.”

Shai, who turned 14 on April 27, celebrated her milestone birthday in a big way during the final night of the Millennium Tour at The Forum in Inglewood, California.

She enjoyed a birthday party backstage joined by her dad, mom Joie Chavis, grandmother Teresa Caldwell, and celebrity guests including Chris Brown and Ray J.

Bow Wow, real name Shad Moss, later posted a recap of the evening on Instagram, featuring a clip of Chris Brown and Ray J singing to Shai before she blew out her candles.

“Happy B-Day @_shaimoss my daughter 14! On the last night of Millennium Tour she got her uncle @chrisbrownofficial @rayj to sing. What a moment!” he captioned the post.

Outside of appearances with her dad, Shai is carving her own path in entertainment. She made her acting debut on Nickelodeon’s Side Hustle in 2021 and appeared in the 2024 holiday film A Screenshot to Santa. Her dance videos with her mom have also gained attention on TikTok.
