ROBIN ROBERTS AND HER SIBLINGS HIT A SWEET NOTE WITH THEIR NEW CHILDREN’S BOOK

Robin Roberts and her siblings have hit a sweet note with their new children’s book, Lucy Sings on Lucy Street, created in honor of their late mother, Lucimarian “Lucy” Tolliver.

The story centers around Lucy, a young girl with a big dream and an even bigger voice, though she’s not quite ready to share it with the world.

Living on the lively and loving Lucy Street, Lucy is surrounded by neighbors and family who encourage her in all sorts of ways, even when she’s feeling unsure.

As she slowly finds the courage to sing her heart out, Lucy’s journey becomes a relatable and encouraging tale for any child, or adult, who’s ever felt a little nervous about putting themselves out there in the middle of the public spotlight.

“I think we all saw a little of ourselves in Lucy,” the Good Morning America co-host shared in a recent interview. “She’s got this spark, but like so many kids, she needs a little nudge to realize how special her spark really is.”

The book is filled with vibrant illustrations that bring Lucy’s story to life. Young readers will love the colorful characters, while parents will appreciate the positive messages about community, confidence, and creativity.

Published by HarperCollins, “Lucy Sings on Lucy Street” is geared towards ages 4-8, preschool through grade 3.

It’s already earning praise, with Kirkus Reviews calling it, “A sweet snapshot of an inspiring girl who finds hope in song.”
