Chrissy Teigen is offering an explanation as to why her son Wren was recently seen wearing a medical boot.
The model and Cravings cookbook author took to Instagram recently to post a series of photos featuring her 22-month-old son playing in the yard. In the first clip, Wren is wearing a small black boot on his foot. Teigen kept the caption playful, writing, “Ima chicken butt!”
While she didn’t address the boot in the caption, fans quickly took to the comments to ask about it. Teigen responded directly, writing, “Wren is a-ok, just a little boot because he is is having trouble putting all his weight on this leg! Not a terrible break thank the lord! They heal so fast right now.”

Last month, the family celebrated Luna’s ninth birthday. Teigen shared a birthday tribute on Instagram, writing, “The best thing I’ve ever made. Luna tuna is NINE today. I can’t say anymore, I’ll cry ok bye!!”
Legend also marked the milestone, posting, “Our firstborn baby is old enough to bake and decorate her own cake now. Happy 9th birthday to our sweet Luna!”
Teigen has been candid about her parenting experiences on her podcast, Self-Conscious With Chrissy Teigen. In a past episode, she spoke about being mindful of how her own habits might affect her children — particularly the pressure to please others.
“Sometimes it feels very isolating to feel this way, and the fact that other people feel imprisoned by this too, that helps a lot, because one of the worst parts about it is me feeling crazy or feeling that nobody else will understand this feeling. ‘Why am I like this?’ I’m really scared of passing this along to my kids.”
Teigen stated in a previous episode of her podcast, Self-Conscious With Chrissy Teigen. “I think that is the big realization for me, is, I can’t do this to my kids. I don’t ever want them to feel like they have to perform for everybody and be good all the time, but I know that sometimes I probably am that way.”
She added, “I cannot imagine this for my kids, I hope that they don’t want to please everybody in life, and I hope that they know that their body is their own, their mind is their own, their actions are their own, and they can’t control other people. I cannot have them live this way that I live.”
