For months, New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson has been playfully campaigning on social media to convince his wife, Ciara, that it’s time to edd baby number five into their growing family. Now, the “Defy Gravity” singer is sharing her reaction and calling her husband out.
Ciara, 39, recently sat down with Access Hollywood to talk about career, family, and the possibility of expanding their household. When the conversation turned to Wilson’s campaign, Ciara was quick to respond.
“Let me tell you, someone needs to take my husband’s phone right now, okay. Because he needs to stop,” she said in the interview with the outlet’s Zuri Hall. “Listen, Amora came out and he start talking about ‘Cinco?’ I’m like, ‘That’s just disrespectful. Do you know what I just went through right now with this?’”
She continued, “No, but he is so funny. He’s got a great campaign going, I’m not gonna lie.
Hall added to the conversation the growing support that her Wilson is amassing for “Cinco.”
Ciara responded, saying, “Yeah, the people are following Rus. They all team Rus, like wait y’all not gone have like a little love and sympathy for my ovaries over here [and] for my uterus?”
Outside of social media, Wilson has brought his campaign to the airwaves. On a past episode of the Not Just Football podcast, the athlete joked, “I always say sports and music are the two most entertaining things in the world and we get to live it every day together and just to have kids. We have four beautiful children. I’m trying to get her to have a fifth…”

Ciara and Russell already have their hands full with four children: daughter Sienna, 7, son Win, 4, and their youngest, Amora, who is approaching her first birthday. Ciara is also mom to her 10-year-old son Future Zahir, from her previous relationship with rapper Future.
